Reed
Farm is NPI’s most recent land acquisition and multi-family development.
Situated in Muhlenberg Township, a northern suburb of Reading, Berks
County, this 242-unit rental community is not only breath-taking, but
has deep historical roots dating back to 1910.
The Reed Family owned and farmed the land for nearly a century.
The farm primarily harvested apples and corn. In 1999, The Reed
Family decided to sell their 56 acres. The first proposed bid
came from a local commercial developer who intended its use for large
manufacturing flex/warehouse buildings. This proposal was rejected
as the Reed Family, as well as the Township, envisioned its use differently.
In 2002, NPI purchased 21 acres of Reed Farm to be developed into a
luxury rental community. Inspired by the legacy of the Reed Family,
NPI has maintained a link to the family tradition by naming the streets
and its new community after the Farm’s original owners.
As NPI builds Reed Farm, not a single detail is being missed.
The accessible location, near the new Route 222, Reading Crest Avenue,
Route 61 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike, allow for quick and easy travel.
Residents can enjoy the nearby shopping and banking, emphasizing the
convenient location.
Numerous amenities on-site allows for a pampered lifestyle. The
Club House offers a state of the art exercise facility and “Great
Room”, complete with bar area and fireplace, perfect for entertaining.
Directly outside is the pool, tennis and multi-purpose courts.
In addition to spacious floor plans, private entrances, vaulted ceilings,
wood-burning fireplaces and master bedroom suites, all landscaping,
maintenance and repair services are included. Reed Farm is truly
a prestigious community emphasizing a higher quality of life reflected
through modern designs, on-site recreational facilities and superior
service. |
